Coleman Coolers

With the spring fast approaching I have been doing some spring cleaning and dragging out all my camping equipment in anticipation of many long nights around the campfire.

I have long since given up on those cheap foam coolers that break just when you need them, but I was looking at my Coleman coolers and I must admit they looked a little worse for wear after many years of rugged use.1 I have two coolers for camping, a larger Coleman wheeled cooler for the main food for the camp and a small Coleman personal cooler for the snacks and drinks for the trip up to the cottage.

I find the Coleman chest cooler tends to be the center of attention at times, doling out soft drinks for the children and beer for the adults, and it is constantly used as a guest seat.1 I was at the local hardware store last weekend and saw a stainless steel model, the Coleman Stainless Steel Belted Cooler that will serve as a beverage dispenser and a guest seat for many more years.

That sighting is what got me started on cleaning out my camping gear.

That got me thinking on some of the other Coleman products I should look at. They did have some Coleman tents at the local hardware store, and lots of Coleman coolers like I mentioned, so I thought I should visit the Coleman website.

I found it at http://www.coleman.com/ and picked out my country.1 I was amazed at some of the products besides the ones I saw at the local hardware store, I should ask them about stocking more Coleman products as the prices are reasonable and I know from experience the quality is excellent.

I think the most sophisticated model is the Coleman Powerchill thermoelectric cooler.1 My neighbor has one in his camper and he takes it to the cottage in the summer and to the hunting camp in the fall.1 I am planning on getting one for my son and daughter when they go to university for their dorm room.

The room is too small for a full size fridge of course and the main meals are served in the cafeteria.1 It would be great to keep food from spoiling and the beer cold, although I hope they do study and drink less than when I went to university.
